A hypothetical brief, whereby we were challenged to develop a new chocolate bar that Cadbury could market and release. The concept needed to be both unique and adhere to Cadbury’s strict brand guidelines across the design.
The proposed concept, named “The #Feels Bar” which incorporates social media at its core, allowing for the possibility of organic reach and marketing. The idea is that a user purchases one of these chocolate bars as a gift for a friend, family member or work colleague. They are then able to download a specified augmented reality app or go online to their website, develop a video/animated message of their choice, unique to each chocolate bar. The individual who then receives this as a gift must download the proposed app to their smartphone, unravel the packaging which reveals a unique QR code. The app makes use of augmented reality, revealing the users custom message.
